Search veterinary (animal) medicine registers, from Assyro's daily copies of each authority's published files: green-book (FDA Green Book / Animal Drugs @ FDA: every NADA, ANADA and CNADA with sponsor, ingredients, target species, approved or withdrawn status, patents and exclusivities), fda-foi (FDA CVM Freedom of Information summaries: each original or supplemental approval, its date and FDA's summary of what it approved), uk-vmd (UK Veterinary Medicines Directorate Product Information Database: authorised, suspended, expired and homeopathic UK products by VM number, holder, species, distribution category such as POM-V, territory), usda-cvb (USDA Center for Veterinary Biologics product summaries: licensed vaccines and bacterins by product code, establishment, species, true name and agents). Omit register to search all four. Find by product name, active substance, target species ("dogs", "cattle"; canine, bovine and other synonyms match), holder or sponsor, the authority's identifier, status, country (US, GB) or first approval date. Each record names its own authority and identifier: cite those. A register that is not loaded is reported as not searched: never read that as "not approved". EU authorisations are not held (centrally authorised EU veterinary medicines are in search_ema); human medicines are not here. Call read_veterinary_product for the whole record.

## Query parameters

- `register` 'green-book' | 'fda-foi' | 'uk-vmd' | 'usda-cvb': Search one register only. Omit for all four.
- `query` string: Words that must all appear in the product name, substances, holder, species or identifier, e.g. "meloxicam dogs".
- `product` string: Product (trade) name, substring match, e.g. "Rimadyl".
- `substance` string: Active substance (or a biologic's agent), substring match, e.g. "carprofen" or "leptospira".
- `species` string: A target species, e.g. "dogs", "cattle", "chickens"; common synonyms match (canine, bovine, swine).
- `holder` string: Sponsor, authorisation holder or licensee, substring match, e.g. "Zoetis".
- `identifier` string: The authority's identifier: a NADA/ANADA number ("141-063"), a VM number ("08749/3072") or VMD product number ("A014424"), or a USDA product code ("2146.01").
- `status` string: Status as the register words it, substring match, e.g. "approved", "withdrawn", "authorised", "suspended", "expired".
- `country` string: ISO two-letter country the record applies to: "US" (Green Book, FOI, USDA) or "GB" (VMD).
- `authorisedFrom` string: First approved, authorised or issued on or after this date, YYYY-MM-DD (records with no date are left out).
- `authorisedTo` string: On or before this date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `sort` 'relevance' | 'newest': relevance (default: exact name matches first, current approvals before withdrawn or expired ones) or newest first approval first.
- `limit` integer: Records to return, default 8. total reports every match.
- `offset` integer: Skip this many results (for paging), default 0.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is not valid: an unknown parameter or an argument the source refuses.
- `404`: No such source or record.

- `503`: The source cannot answer from Assyro's copy right now.
