Search MedlinePlus health topics (U.S. National Library of Medicine): plain-language summaries for patients and families of conditions, symptoms, tests, treatments and wellness topics, in English and Spanish, from Assyro's daily copy. Use it for a personal or lay health question, to explain a condition simply, or for the Spanish wording of a topic. Find topics by words in the title, other names and summary, or by MedlinePlus topic group. Each result gives the topic, its summary and its MedlinePlus page. Call read_medlineplus_topic for the whole summary, related topics and MeSH headings. General health information, not medical advice.

## Query parameters

- `query` string: Words, e.g. "high blood pressure" or "sore throat".
- `language` 'English' | 'Spanish': Only English or only Spanish topics (both by default).
- `group` string: A MedlinePlus topic group, e.g. "Heart and Circulation" or "Symptoms".
- `limit` integer: Topics to return, default 6.
- `offset` integer: Skip this many results (for paging), default 0.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is not valid: an unknown parameter or an argument the source refuses.
- `404`: No such source or record.
- `429`: Rate limited; retry after the Retry-After header.
- `503`: The source cannot answer from Assyro's copy right now.
