Search Health Canada's Recalls and Safety Alerts for health products, from Assyro's daily copy of Health Canada's open data (Open Government Licence - Canada): recalls and advisories on drugs, medical devices, natural health products, biologics and vaccines, radiopharmaceuticals and veterinary drugs, current and archived, each with Health Canada's record number, title, product, issue, category, recall class in Health Canada's words (Type I, Type II, Type III; advisories have none), the issuing branch, the last-updated date and the notice page. Find by words, product, issue ("packaging", "contamination", "performance"), category ("natural health products", "radiology"), recall class or last-updated date. The open data gives only the last-updated date (not the recall start date) and no lot numbers or recalling firm: read the notice page for those. Food, vehicle and consumer-product notices are not held. No notice found is not evidence that a product was never recalled or is safe. Call read_health_canada_recall for the whole notice.

## Query parameters

- `query` string: Words that must all appear in the notice's title, product, issue or category, e.g. "dantrolene" or "insulin pen".
- `product` string: Product name, substring match over the title and product, e.g. "Ozempic".
- `issue` string: The issue as Health Canada words it, substring match, e.g. "packaging", "labelling", "contamination", "adverse reaction".
- `category` string: A category, substring match, e.g. "drugs", "natural health products", "biologic", "radiology"; "medical devices" also finds every notice of Health Canada's medical devices branch (filed under their specialty).
- `recallClass` 'Type I' | 'Type II' | 'Type III': Health Canada's recall class: Type I (a reasonable probability of serious adverse health consequences or death), Type II, Type III. Advisories carry none.
- `updatedFrom` string: Notices last updated on or after this date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `updatedTo` string: Last updated on or before this date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `includeArchived` boolean: Include notices Health Canada has archived (default true). false keeps current notices only.
- `sort` 'relevance' | 'newest': relevance (default: current before archived, then most recently updated) or newest (most recently updated first).
- `limit` integer: Notices to return, default 8. total reports every match.
- `offset` integer: Skip this many results (for paging), default 0.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is not valid: an unknown parameter or an argument the source refuses.

- `503`: The source cannot answer from Assyro's copy right now.
