# Search FDA Data Dashboard

Search the FDA Data Dashboard (FDA Office of Inspections and Investigations) for a firm's compliance history: inspection classifications (NAI, VAI, OAI), the inspection citations FDA has posted (Form 483 observation references to 21 CFR / FD&C Act sections), compliance actions (warning letters, injunctions, seizures) and import refusals. Pick one dataset per call. Filter by firm name or FEI number, country, product type and date range. Returns up to 10 rows, newest first. This is the dashboard's structured data, not the documents: it does not contain the text of a Form 483, an EIR or a warning letter, and it only covers what FDA has posted (not every inspection or 483 is published). A firm with no rows is not proof of a clean record. Call read_fda_data_dashboard for the full row (and, for an inspection, its posted citations).

## Query parameters

- `dataset` 'inspections' | 'citations' | 'compliance_actions' | 'import_refusals', required: inspections (classifications), citations (posted 483 citations), compliance_actions (warning letters, injunctions, seizures), import_refusals.
- `query` string: A firm name (partial match, e.g. "Sun Pharmaceutical") or an FEI number (digits, e.g. "3002807765"). A firm name followed by its city or state ("Catalent Bloomington") keeps that firm's rows at that place.
- `classification` 'OAI' | 'VAI' | 'NAI': inspections only: OAI (official action), VAI (voluntary action) or NAI (no action).
- `actionType` 'Warning Letter' | 'Injunction' | 'Seizure': compliance_actions only.
- `productType` 'Biologics' | 'Devices' | 'Drugs' | 'Food/Cosmetics' | 'Tobacco' | 'Veterinary': The FDA product area (inspections, compliance_actions, import_refusals).
- `product` string: import_refusals only: product description, partial match (e.g. "shrimp", "surgical gloves").
- `cfrReference` string: citations only: the cited section, partial match (e.g. "21 CFR 211.192", "820.100").
- `country` string: Two-letter ISO country code of the firm, e.g. "IN", "CN", "US".
- `dateFrom` string: Earliest inspection end / action / refusal date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `dateTo` string: Latest inspection end / action / refusal date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `limit` integer: Rows to return, default 8.
- `offset` integer: Skip this many rows (for paging), default 0.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is not valid: an unknown parameter or an argument the source refuses.
