# Regenerate recovery codes

`POST /v1/users/self/mfa/recovery-codes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.assinafy.com.br`
- URL: `https://api.assinafy.com.br/v1/users/self/mfa/recovery-codes`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Issues a fresh set of ten recovery codes and invalidates the previous set. Requires the current password, a live authenticator code, or one of the existing recovery codes (which is then consumed).

## Request body

- object
  - `password` string, password
  - `code` string: A live 6-digit authenticator code, or one of the existing recovery codes.

## Response `200`

New recovery codes

- object: Standard success wrapper. Operations add their own `data`.
  - `status` integer: HTTP status code, mirrored in the body.
  - `message` string: Human-readable message; empty on success.
  - `data` object
    - `recovery_codes` string[]

## Other responses

- `400`: One or more fields failed validation.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
