# Validate field value

`POST /v1/accounts/{accountId}/fields/{fieldId}/validate`

## Request

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Validate an input value against a field definition. Typically called with a signer access code during the signing flow.

## Request body

  - `value` string, required: The input value to validate.

## Response `200`

Validation result

- object: Standard success wrapper. Operations add their own `data`.
  - `status` integer: HTTP status code, mirrored in the body.
  - `message` string: Human-readable message; empty on success.
  - `data` FieldValidation: The result of validating a value against a field definition.
    - `type` string: The field's validation type.
    - `success` boolean
    - `error_message` string: Empty when valid.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
