# Delete Watermark

`DELETE /watermarks/{watermark_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.aspect.inc`
- URL: `https://api.aspect.inc/watermarks/{watermark_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Delete a watermark.

If the watermark is in use by shares, returns 409 with the share count.
To proceed, either:
- Set force=true to delete and remove watermarking from affected shares
- Set replace_with={other_watermark_id} to reassign affected shares first

## Path parameters

- `watermark_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `force` boolean: Force deletion even if the watermark is in use by shares
- `replace_with` string, uuid, nullable: Reassign affected shares to this watermark before deleting

## Response `204`
