# Stop Generation

`POST /metadata/attributes/{attribute_id}/stop`

## Request

Cancel pending AI generation for this attribute. Values already generated are kept.

## Path parameters

- `attribute_id` string, uuid, required: Attribute ID

## Query parameters

- `dry_run` boolean: Count the assets whose pending generation would be cancelled, without cancelling it.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- CellStopResponse: API response schema for Stop running's entry count.
  - `count` integer, required: Number of assets whose pending generation was cancelled

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
