# Restore Items

`POST /fs-items/restore`

## Request

Restore items from the project trash.

## Request body

- FsItemsRestoreRequest: API request schema for restoring filesystem items from the project trash. Each item returns to the directory it was trashed from. If that directory no longer exists or is itself in trash, the item goes to the project root directory. A name already taken at an item's destination returns 409.
  - `project_id` string, uuid, required: Project ID the items belong to
  - `asset_ids` string[], nullable: List of asset IDs to restore from trash
  - `directory_ids` string[], nullable: List of directory IDs to restore from trash
  - `symlink_ids` string[], nullable: List of symlink IDs to restore from trash

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- FsItemsRestoreResponse: API response schema for restoring filesystem items from trash
  - `restored_asset_count` integer, required: Number of assets successfully restored
  - `restored_directory_count` integer, required: Number of directories successfully restored
  - `restored_symlink_count` integer: Number of symlinks successfully restored
