# Empty Trash

`POST /fs-items/empty-trash`

## Request

Permanently delete everything in the project trash.

## Request body

- FsItemsEmptyTrashRequest: API request schema for permanently deleting all contents of the project trash.
  - `project_id` string, uuid, required: Project whose trash to empty

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- FsItemsEmptyTrashResponse: API response schema for emptying the project trash
  - `deleted_asset_count` integer, required: Number of assets permanently deleted from trash
  - `deleted_directory_count` integer, required: Number of directories permanently deleted from trash
  - `deleted_symlink_count` integer: Number of symlinks permanently deleted from trash
