# Get Copy Job

`GET /fs-items/copy/{job_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.aspect.inc`

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Get the status of a copy job. Only the user who started the copy can see it.

## Path parameters

- `job_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- CopyJobResponse: Status of a copy job.
  - `id` string, uuid, required: Copy job ID
  - `status` 'running' | 'completed' | 'failed', required: Status of a copy job. A job waiting to start counts as running.
  - `label` string, nullable: Short description of what is being copied: the item's name, or the number of items
  - `created` string, date-time, required: When the job was started
  - `finished_at` string, date-time, nullable: When the job completed or failed. Set when `status` is `completed` or `failed`.
  - `progress` CopyJobProgress, required: How far a copy job has got. Each asset and directory counts as one item.
    - `percent` number, required: Share of items copied or failed, from 0 to 1
    - `items_done` integer, required: Number of items copied
    - `items_total` integer, required: Number of items the job copies
    - `failed_items` integer, required: Number of items that could not be copied
    - `waiting_items` integer, required: Number of videos waiting for their proxy before they can be copied. Only used when copying videos as proxies.
  - `result` CopyJobResult: The outcome of a completed copy job.
    - `items_skipped` boolean, required: Whether some items, comments, or metadata were left out because you can't access them or they are in the trash
    - `failed_item_details` CopyJobFailedItem[], required: Items that could not be copied, up to 100
      - `source_id` string, uuid, required: ID of the item that was being copied
      - `name` string, required: Name of the item
      - `error` string, required: Why the item could not be copied
  - `error` string, nullable: Why the job failed. Set when `status` is `failed`.
