# Check public API availability

`GET /health`

## Request

Returns a small, unauthenticated availability response. This request does not cost a credit.

## Response `200`

API Gateway and the health function are running

- HealthResponse
  - `ok` true, required
  - `service` 'aso-skill', required
  - `version` 'v1', required

## Other responses

- `429`: Request capacity or a rate allowance was exceeded; no credit is consumed. Respect Retry-After when present, otherwise retry with exponential backoff and jitter.
- `500`: Unexpected processing failure; any reserved credit is restored
