THE BATAK PORHALAAN — the diviner’s calendar of the Toba highlands of Sumatra: a 12×30 grid carved into bamboo or a buffalo rib, kept not to tell time but to FIND THE DAY — the datu read it solely to choose auspicious days. Porhalaan means ‘the place of the scorpion’ (hala, from Sanskrit kāla). THE SANSKRIT FOSSIL is the jewel, asserted at load: the seven day-names — Artia, Suma, Anggara, Muda, Boraspati, Singkora, Samisara — are the SANSKRIT PLANETARY WEEK (Āditya, Soma, Aṅgāraka, Budha, Bṛhaspati, Śukra, Śanaiścara) carried across the Bay of Bengal centuries ago and preserved by a culture that never used the seven-day civil week — the same Sun-to-Saturn order the catalogue’s panchanga and planetary-hours engines serve. The month runs the week four times plus two days (asserted); in the Toba scheme DAY 15 — the third Artia — surrenders its name to TULA, the full moon (asserted); the Karo phase-quarter recension is pinned beside it, never blended. THE UNANCHORED LAW: the board HAS NO EPOCH — Gregorian conversion is REFUSED BY NAME; it answered ‘which day is good?’, never ‘what day is it?’. Day-qualities served from the published roster; Pane na Bolon, the turning serpent, carried. Indonesian becomes seven. Pure compute and served corpus, no LLM.
