THE EAST AFRICAN SIX-HOUR CLOCK — how two hundred million people actually tell time: in Ethiopia and across the Swahili world the day begins at DAWN, not midnight, and 'one o'clock' (saa moja / ሰዓት አንድ) is the first hour of daylight — 7:00 Western. Noon is saa sita, the SIXTH hour; sunset closes the twelve hours of day and saa moja of the NIGHT begins at 7 pm. Near the equator the sun rises at six all year, so the dawn-start clock never drifts — which is exactly why the system lives there. AND IT IS OLDER THAN THE CLOCK IT CONFUSES: counting hours from dawn is the reckoning of the ancient world — the Roman hora prima, the Gospel's 'third hour' and 'ELEVENTH HOUR' (= 5 pm here, an identity asserted at load) — alive as everyday speech in Addis Ababa and Zanzibar. Converts BOTH WAYS with Swahili hour-names and both traditions' period labels; THE FULL 1440-MINUTE BIJECTION proven at load; the traveller's pitfall served as law (an Ethiopian '2 o'clock' appointment is 8:00 am). Ethiopian becomes three systems. Pure compute, no LLM.
