# Start a list check

`POST /api/v1/verifications`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.argorant.com`
- URL: `https://app.argorant.com/api/v1/verifications`

Checks the addresses of a quote. The list comes from the quote, so it cannot change after the user said yes. `approved_maximum_charge` is the most the user agreed to pay; the check never costs more. Half a credit per fresh check, rounded up per run. Starting the same quote again returns the same run.

  - `quote_id` string, required: The quote the user agreed to.
  - `approved_maximum_charge` integer, required: The most the user agreed to pay, in credits (0 to 1,000).

## Other responses

- `401`: 401 Unauthorized. `unauthorized` when the API key is missing, wrong or revoked.
- `402`: 402 Payment required. `insufficient_credits` when the balance does not cover the check.
- `403`: 403 Forbidden. `scope_missing` when the key lacks argorant:verify_emails.
- `404`: 404 Not found. `quote_not_found` when the quote is unknown or not yours.
- `409`: 409 Conflict. `idempotency_conflict` when the Idempotency-Key was used with another body.
- `422`: 422 Validation error. `validation_error` when a field has the wrong type or is missing.
- `429`: 429 Too many requests. `rate_limited` when too many requests this minute.
