# Citations Search

`POST /api/asclepius/citations/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.archangelhealth.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.archangelhealth.ai/api/asclepius/citations/search`
- Auth: none declared

The explicit "Search the library" box (BUG-3c escape hatch): the doctor
typed a query on purpose, so this is more permissive than the auto-suggest —
any token overlap matches, ranked by relevance. A blank query returns the
library head so the box is never a dead end. ``skipped`` when the specialty
has no library. Never gated on the independent commit (the doctor is grounding
their OWN text, post-reveal), like ``/assist/cite``.

TUTORIAL rather than full access (PRD A §2.1): an applicant sitting the
credentialing examination has to be able to cite, and "Search the library"
is the box they do it in. Nothing patient-specific is reachable through it —
the library is published guidance, keyed by specialty — so it is a
surface-level permission rather than a task-scoped carve-out. It admits
advisors too, who already hold TUTORIAL and already click through the whole
practice case; the same reasoning covers both.

## Headers

- `authorization` string, nullable

## Request body

- CiteRequest: Ask for auto-suggested citations for a rationale or reasoning step (Seamless PRD WS3). ``text`` is the clinician's written rationale/step; ``specialty`` scopes the citation library. Post-reveal, so no anti-peeking gate.
  - `text` string, required
  - `specialty` string
  - `k` integer

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- unknown

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
