# List memory files

`GET /v3/organizations/{orgId}/memory/files`

## Request

Lists every file in one memory scope. Memory is what Reasons know across Sessions: each Session starts by reading `MEMORY.md` (the index) and the list of notes, and reads a note when its topic comes up.

- `scope=personal` is the memory of the person the API key or OAuth grant belongs to. Only they and their own Sessions see it.
- `scope=team` is the Workspace's team memory, which every member's Sessions read. Any member reads it; only an owner or admin writes it.

Viewers who are not members of the Workspace have no memory here.

The scope's files.

- MemoryFileList
  - `scope` 'personal' | 'team': `personal`: the memory of the person the API key or OAuth grant belongs to, private to them. `team`: the Workspace's shared team memory, which every member's Sessions read.
  - `files` MemoryFileEntry[]: Every file in the scope, `MEMORY.md` first.
    - `path` string
    - `byte_length` integer
    - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable
  - `can_write` boolean: Whether the caller may write and delete files in this scope: always for personal memory, only for a Workspace owner or admin in team memory.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, or expired key.
- `403`: The key lacks the required scope or role.
- `429`: Too many requests. Retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` response header.
