# Planet Positions

`POST /v1/planetpositions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.apiverve.com`
- URL: `https://api.apiverve.com/v1/planetpositions`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Planet Positions is a simple tool for getting the position of planets in the solar system. It returns the position of planets in the solar system.

## Request body

- object
  - `date` string: The date to get planetary position data for (MM-DD-YYYY)
  - `time` string: The time of day for the calculation (HH:mm format, 24-hour). Defaults to 00:00 if not provided
  - `lat` number, required: The latitude of the observer
  - `lon` number, required: The longitude of the observer
  - `alt` number: The altitude of the observer in meters
  - `planet` string, required: The planet to get position data for

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- object
  - `status` string: status
  - `error` string: error
  - `data` object: data

## Other responses

- `401`: Your request was not authorized, or your API Key was invalid
- `404`: Requested resource was not found
- `500`: A server error has occurred, try again later
