# Get statistics overview

`GET /stats/overview`

## Request

Get a high-level summary of the register: total organizations, active vs terminated counts, new registrations and terminations this month, and the last data sync date.

This is a lightweight endpoint suitable for dashboards and status pages.

Every figure — including `last_sync_date` — is scoped to the countries you request.

Unlike the rest of the API, this endpoint defaults to **all** countries rather than SK, because it has always reported register-wide totals. Pass `countries=SK` to narrow it.

Note that `last_sync_date` is the most recent sync across the requested countries. It previously always reported the Slovak sync date even though the totals covered every country.

Summary statistics

- StatsOverview
  - `total_organizations` integer, required: Total organizations in the register
  - `active_organizations` integer, required: Currently active organizations
  - `terminated_organizations` integer, required: Currently terminated organizations
  - `new_this_month` integer, required: New registrations this calendar month
  - `terminated_this_month` integer, required: Terminations this calendar month
  - `last_sync_date` string, date-time: Date of the last successful data sync. A timestamp at midnight UTC (`2018-03-02T00:00:00Z`); only the date part carries meaning.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
