# Download a day's changes as a file

`GET /changes/export`

Everything recorded on one day, in one download, with no paging — the daily change file. Use it when your importer is built around files; use `/changes` with `since_id` when you want a feed.

Only completed days can be exported, so a given date's file never changes: ask twice, get the same bytes.

The day is when we **recorded** the change, not when it happened. A tax erasure carries the date the register struck the company off — often years back — but it appears in the file for the day we first saw it, which is the day it is news to you.
