# Delete a consumer

`DELETE /apiops/projects/{projectName}/consumers/{consumerKey}`

Deletes the consumer and undeploys it; runtimeDeployment reports the undeploy. A consumer that still owns API clients or is otherwise blocked is 409 dependencyConflict, with the blocker in params.reason.
