# Participant status

`GET /v1/social/profiles/{id}/participants/{user_id}`

Instagram only. Returns whether a user follows the profile's Instagram account (and vice versa), plus their verified badge and follower count, fetched live from Instagram's messaging user lookup. The user_id is the Instagram-scoped user id from a DM chat (participant_external_id) or a comment (author_external_id); Instagram only resolves users who have messaged or commented on your account. Lookups are cached for one second per user; the X-Cached response header says whether the payload came from cache.

    - `is_user_follow_business` boolean: The user follows your Instagram account
