# Update a blog article

`PATCH /v1/messaging/accounts/{accountId}/blogs/{blogId}/articles/{articleId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://apihub.co.il`
- URL: `https://apihub.co.il/v1/messaging/accounts/{accountId}/blogs/{blogId}/articles/{articleId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Partial-updates an article. Send any subset of the create fields
(`title`, `bodyHtml`, `handle`, `tags`, `author`, `excerpt`, `image`,
`seo`, `isPublished`, `publishDate`); at least one field is required
(an empty body returns 400). `isPublished` and `publishDate` behave as
on create: `isPublished: false` unpublishes back to a draft and a
future `publishDate` schedules publication natively on the platform.
Omitting both fields preserves the current WordPress status. Omitting
`image` preserves the current featured image; removal is not supported.
WordPress rejects `seo` and does not support SEO-plugin/custom-field,
category, or custom-post-type writes.

Supported on Shopify (`shopify`) and WordPress (`wordpress`).

**Billing:** Request; paid actions are priced in credits (see GET /v1/messaging/prices) · **Rate limit:** 60/min

## Path parameters

- `blogId` string, required: Platform-native numeric blog/site id returned by the list operation.
- `accountId` string, required: Connected Shopify or WordPress account id.
- `articleId` string, required: Platform-native numeric article id. Non-numeric values return 400.

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string
- `X-Tag` string

## Request body

- object: At least one field is required.
  - `seo` object: Shopify only. Search-engine overrides mapped to global title_tag and description_tag metafields. WordPress rejects this field.
    - `title` string
    - `description` string
  - `tags` string[]: Replaces the full tag-name list. WordPress resolves existing names case-insensitively and creates missing tags.
  - `image` object: Featured image from a public URL. WordPress downloads it into the media library; JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP are accepted up to 10 MB. Omit to preserve it; null removal is not supported.
    - `url` string, uri, required
    - `altText` string
  - `title` string
  - `author` string: Shopify author display name, or numeric WordPress user id serialized as a string. Assigning another WordPress user may require elevated capability.
  - `handle` string: URL slug of the article.
  - `excerpt` string: Short summary shown in blog listings.
  - `bodyHtml` string: Article body as HTML.
  - `isPublished` boolean: Set false to move to draft or true to publish. On WordPress false takes priority over a future publishDate; omission preserves status unless publishDate is sent.
  - `publishDate` string, date-time: ISO 8601 datetime with offset (or Z). A future date schedules publication natively on the platform.

## Response `200`

Completed

- object
  - `id` string: Execution id — stable across internal retries; use it with GET /v1/executions/{id}
  - `status` 'pending' | 'processing' | 'completed' | 'partial' | 'failed' | 'cancelled' | 'timeout'
  - `operation` string
  - `tag` string, nullable: Your X-Tag, if sent
  - `created_at` string, date-time
  - `completed_at` string, date-time, nullable
  - `output` object: Operation result (see each operation). While a Studio render is processing: `stage` (queued · transcribing · downloading · preparing · cleaning_voice · mixing_audio · rendering · finishing), `phase` (the engine's: download · prepare · voice · audio · encode · qa · upload, or null), `progress` (a percent, 0–100) and `progress_fraction` (0–1), `eta_seconds` (seconds left, never below 0) and `estimate_seconds`
    - `article` object: An article inside a blog on the connected platform.
      - `id` string: Platform-native numeric article/post id.
      - `tags` string[]: Tag names. On WordPress, missing tag names are created and matching is case-insensitive.
      - `image` object, nullable: Featured image.
        - `url` string
        - `altText` string, nullable
      - `title` string
      - `author` string, nullable: Shopify author display name, or numeric WordPress user id serialized as a string.
      - `blogId` string: Platform-native id of the blog the article belongs to.
      - `handle` string: URL slug of the article.
      - `status` 'publish' | 'future' | 'draft' | 'pending' | 'private': WordPress only. Native post status returned by WordPress; omitted for Shopify.
      - `excerpt` string, nullable: Short summary shown in blog listings.
      - `bodyHtml` string, nullable: Article body as HTML.
      - `platform` 'shopify' | 'wordpress'
      - `createdAt` string, date-time, nullable: Creation time when the platform exposes one. WordPress returns null because its core date is the editable publication date.
      - `updatedAt` string, date-time, nullable: Last modification time. WordPress returns modified_gmt as UTC.
      - `isPublished` boolean: False while the article is a draft or its publish date is still in the future.
      - `publishDate` string, date-time, nullable: WordPress only. Scheduled publication time in UTC when status is `future`; null for other WordPress statuses and omitted for Shopify.
      - `publishedAt` string, date-time, nullable: Publication time. On WordPress this is present only when status is `publish`; null for drafts, pending/private posts, and scheduled posts.
    - `platform` 'shopify' | 'wordpress'
  - `error` string, nullable
  - `usage` object
    - `credits_charged` number, nullable
    - `credits_reserved` number
    - `estimated_credits` number
    - `cost_source` 'provider_reported' | 'calculated' | 'estimated' | 'null', nullable
    - `provider_usage` object, nullable: Normalised consumption, e.g. { VIDEO_SECOND: 22.4 }
  - `balance` object
    - `available` number
    - `reserved` number
