# Check API Key

`GET /v1/time`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://apidirect.io`
- URL: `https://apidirect.io/v1/time`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Returns the current server time. Integrations use it to check that an API key works.

**Price:** $0.001 per request after the free tier.

## Response `200`

The key is valid.

- TimeResponse
  - `timestamp` string: ISO 8601 UTC time.
  - `unix` integer: Unix time in seconds.
  - `formatted` string: Human-readable UTC time.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key (`missing_api_key`, `invalid_api_key`).
- `402`: Free tier used up for this endpoint and no payment method on file (`payment_required`).
- `403`: Account blocked after a failed payment (`account_blocked`).
- `429`: Too many concurrent requests (`concurrency_limit_exceeded`), a spending limit reached (`daily_limit_exceeded`, `monthly_limit_exceeded`), or the data source is rate limiting (`upstream_rate_limit`).
- `500`: Internal server error.
