# Threads User Profile

`GET /v1/threads/user`

## Request

Look up a single Threads user by username. Returns biography, follower count, verification status, privacy status, profile picture, bio links, and the topic tags shown on the profile.

**Price:** $0.006 per request. **Free tier:** 50 requests/month.

- ThreadsUserProfileResponse: Inferred from a live response. Any field can be null or absent, and new fields may be added at any time.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — missing username or value too long
- `401`: Unauthorized — invalid or missing API key
- `402`: Free tier used up for this endpoint and no payment method on file (`payment_required`).
- `403`: Account blocked after a failed payment (`account_blocked`).
- `404`: Threads user not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded or too many concurrent requests
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `502`: The data source returned an error or could not be reached. Please retry shortly.
- `503`: Service temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly.
- `504`: The data source did not respond in time. Please retry shortly.
