# Posts an allowance for a charge

`POST /finance/v0-nsfw/folio-actions/{folioId}/charges/{chargeId}/allowances`

Allowance value posted must not exceed source charge minus allowances posted for this charge<br>You must have at least one of these scopes: 'allowances.post, folios.manage'.<br>For fine-grained clients, you must have this permission: 'core.folios.post_charge_allowance'.

  - `reason` string, required: Reason why this allowance is posted
  - `amount` MonetaryValueModel, required
    - `amount` number, double, required
    - `currency` string, required
  - `businessDate` string, date, nullable: The business date of the allowance. Defaults to the current date. In some cases you might want to post the allowances to the previous business date, this is only possible until 6 AM of the current day.

- `401`: You are unauthorized.
- `403`: Forbidden.
- `404`: The Request-URI could not be found.
- `415`: Unsupported media type.

- `503`: The server is currently unavailable. Please try later.
