# Search symptoms, conditions and treatments

`GET /v1/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://platform.anpheros.com`
- URL: `https://platform.anpheros.com/v1/search`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://platform.anpheros.com/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://platform.anpheros.com/oauth/token`; client credentials, token URL `https://platform.anpheros.com/oauth/token`, scopes: `patient/*.rs`, `patient/Observation.rs`, `patient/Observation.rs?category=laboratory`, `patient/Condition.rs`, `patient/MedicationStatement.rs`, `patient/DocumentReference.rs`, `patient/AllergyIntolerance.rs`, `offline_access`, `openid`, `fhirUser`, `anpheros/patterns`)

Public, no API key needed (60 searches a minute and 2,000 a day per IP without a key). Full-text search with synonyms over the public catalog. Ordered by how the text matched (exact name, start of
a name, every word, part of a word), then alphabetically: no popularity, score or recommendation. General
information only: Anpheros does not diagnose and does not recommend treatment.

## Query parameters

- `q` string, required: Name in any of 20 languages, synonym, brand name, ICD-10 / ICD-11 code, RxNorm RXCUI or Anpheros id
- `type` 'symptom' | 'condition' | 'treatment', nullable: Only this type (catalog `data` only)
- `types` string: Groups to return, comma-separated: symptom, condition, treatment, page, article (Europe PMC), trial (ClinicalTrials.gov), document (EMA, FDA)
- `lang` string: Language of `display`; English when that language has no published name yet
- `limit` integer
- `offset` integer

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, invalid, expired or revoked credential (`WWW-Authenticate: Bearer`).
- `403`: The credential's scope or the patient's consent does not allow this.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded; wait `Retry-After` seconds.
