# Configure external MCP server as tool source

`PUT /tenants/{slug}/mcp-tools`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.animam.ai`
- URL: `https://api.animam.ai/tenants/{slug}/mcp-tools`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://api.animam.ai/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://api.animam.ai/oauth/token`, scopes: `settings:write`)

Pro+ only. URL must be HTTPS. Tools are discovered via tools/list and proxied via tools/call (cached 5min).

- `slug` string, required: Tenant slug (URL-safe identifier).

## Request body

  - `mcpToolsUrl` string, uri, nullable
  - `mcpToolsApiKey` string, nullable
  - `mcpToolsMaxTools` integer
