## Path parameters

- `company_id` string, required

## Response `200`

The company.

- Company: A portfolio company that one or more vehicles have invested in, hydrated with profile data (description, website, logo, social links) from the AngelList Startup profile when one exists.
  - `acquired_at` integer, nullable: Time at which the company was acquired. Measured in seconds since the Unix epoch. Null when the company has not been acquired.
  - `company_type` 'operating_company' | 'blockchain_network' | 'external_fund' | 'holding_company' | 'platform_fund': Classification of the entity.
  - `created` integer, required: Time at which the company record was created. Measured in seconds since the Unix epoch.
  - `description` string, nullable: Short description of the company, sourced from the AngelList Startup profile's high concept. Null when no profile is linked or no description is recorded.
  - `id` string, required: Unique identifier for this company. The underlying record id is encoded through a salted Sqid alphabet so the internal database identifier is never on the wire.
  - `linkedin_url` string, nullable: LinkedIn profile URL of the company. Null when not available.
  - `livemode` boolean, required: Whether this object exists in live mode (`true`) or test mode (`false`).
  - `logo_url` string, nullable: URL of the company logo image, sourced from the AngelList Startup profile. Null when no logo is available.
  - `markets` string[]: Market tags for the company, sourced from the AngelList Startup profile. Empty array when no market tags are available.
  - `name` string, required: Display name of the company.
  - `object` 'company', required: Object type identifier.
  - `shut_down_at` integer, nullable: Time at which the company was shut down or dissolved. Measured in seconds since the Unix epoch. Null when the company has not been shut down.
  - `status` 'active' | 'exit_in_progress' | 'acquired' | 'dissolved': Operational status of the company.
  - `twitter_url` string, nullable: Twitter/X profile URL of the company. Null when not available.
  - `website` string, nullable: Website URL of the company, sourced from the AngelList Startup profile. Null when no Startup profile is linked or when no URL is recorded.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed or contained invalid parameters.
- `401`: Authentication required or token invalid.
- `403`: The authenticated user does not have permission to access this resource, or the vehicle's data is not available through the API. Vehicle-scoped financial-data endpoints return code `not_available` when a vehicle's data isn't served through the API yet — the API returns verified data or none, never partial data. One account can hold a mix of covered and uncovered vehicles; support for uncovered vehicles is on the roadmap and will be added in the coming months.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: An unexpected error occurred.
