# Cancel a scheduled message

`DELETE /scheduled-messages/{scheduledMessageId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ando.so/v1`
- URL: `https://api.ando.so/v1/scheduled-messages/{scheduledMessageId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Cancels a message the calling API key scheduled, so it is never sent. Requires messages:write. A scheduled message that does not exist, was scheduled by another key or in the app, was already sent or was already canceled returns 404 Scheduled message not found, so repeating a cancel is safe and reveals nothing. To change a scheduled message, cancel it and schedule again.

## Path parameters

- `scheduledMessageId` string, required: Scheduled message identifier.

## Response `200`

Canceled scheduled message.

- CancelScheduledMessageResponse: Canceled scheduled message response.
  - `data` object, required: Canceled scheduled message data.
    - `scheduled_message` object, required: The scheduled message that will no longer be sent.
      - `canceled_at` string, date-time, required: When the message was canceled.
      - `id` string, required: Scheduled message identifier.
      - `status` 'canceled', required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: Forbidden.
- `404`: Not found.
- `409`: Conflict.
- `429`: Rate limit or quota exceeded.
- `500`: Internal server error.
