# List Files

`GET /v1/volumes/{volume_id}/files`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.anchorbrowser.io`
- URL: `https://api.anchorbrowser.io/v1/volumes/{volume_id}/files`
- Auth: API key in header `anchor-api-key`

List the contents of a folder in the volume (one level, like `ls`), or the whole tree with `recursive=true`. Files written by a running session appear here about a minute after the session stops writing to them.

## Path parameters

- `volume_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `path` string
- `recursive` 'true' | 'false'
- `cursor` string
- `limit` string

## Response `200`

Folder listing

- VolumeFileListResponse
  - `data` object
    - `items` VolumeFileEntrySchema[]
      - `path` string: Path relative to the volume root, e.g. `downloads/report.pdf`
      - `type` 'file' | 'directory'
      - `size` integer, nullable: Size in bytes (`null` for directories)
      - `last_modified` string, date-time, nullable
      - `etag` string, nullable
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Pass as `cursor` to fetch the next page; `null` when there are no more entries

## Other responses

- `404`: Volume not found
- `412`: The volume is not `ready`
