# Download File

`GET /v1/volumes/{volume_id}/files/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.anchorbrowser.io`
- URL: `https://api.anchorbrowser.io/v1/volumes/{volume_id}/files/download`
- Auth: API key in header `anchor-api-key`

Get a pre-signed URL for a file. Pass `redirect=true` to be redirected to the file instead of receiving the URL.

## Path parameters

- `volume_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `path` string, required
- `redirect` 'true' | 'false'

## Response `200`

Download URL

- VolumeDownloadUrlResponse
  - `data` object
    - `signed_url` string: Pre-signed URL that serves the file with a `GET`
    - `expires_in` integer: Seconds until the URL expires
    - `size` integer: Size in bytes
    - `content_type` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `302`: Redirect to the file (`redirect=true`)
- `404`: Volume or file not found
