# Perform AI Search

`POST /search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.anakin.io/v1`
- URL: `https://api.anakin.io/v1/search`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

AI-powered web search with citations. Synchronous — returns immediately, no polling needed. Costs 3 credits per call.

## Request body

- SearchRequest
  - `prompt` string, required: The search query or question.
  - `limit` integer: Maximum number of results to return (default 5, max 20).

## Response `200`

Search results

- SearchResult
  - `id` string: Search ID.
  - `results` SearchResultItem[]
    - `url` string
    - `title` string
    - `snippet` string
    - `date` string
    - `last_updated` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — missing or malformed body
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
