# Start Agentic Search

`POST /agentic-search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.anakin.io/v1`
- URL: `https://api.anakin.io/v1/agentic-search`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Start a multi-stage AI research pipeline: search, scrape citations, extract structured data. Returns a job ID — poll GET /agentic-search/{jobId} (with a delay in between, this can take minutes) to fetch the report. Costs 10 credits.

## Request body

- AgenticSearchRequest
  - `prompt` string, required: The research question or topic (max 8KB).
  - `useBrowser` boolean: Use a headless browser for citation scraping — matches the API default.
  - `schema` object: Optional JSON Schema describing the structured_data shape you want back.

## Response `202`

Job accepted

- AgenticSearchSubmitResponse
  - `job_id` string: The job ID — pass to Get Agentic Search Result to poll for completion.
  - `status` 'pending' | 'processing'

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — missing or malformed body
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
