# Cancel Research

`POST /api/platform/v1/research/{research_id}/cancel`

Stop a research job that is still running or waiting on its clarifying question. Use when the answer is no longer needed or the question was wrong; start a new job with the corrected question instead. A job that already finished is left as it is.
