# Get Research

`GET /api/platform/v1/research/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.amdahl.ai`

- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Read one research job by id: its status (running, needs_input, complete, failed or canceled), the clarifying question when it is waiting on you, and once complete the answer with the evidence blocks it cites and whether it is partial. Read when polling a job you started; pass wait_ms (max 30000) to wait until it settles instead of looping fast.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required: The research_id research.start returned.

## Query parameters

- `wait_ms` integer: Optional long-poll budget in ms, hard-capped at 30000. Blocks until the job is complete, failed, canceled or needs_input, then returns the same body.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input - failed schema validation
