# ECB Exchange Rates: Latest and Historical Reference Rates

`GET /v1/fx-rate-ecb`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ambolt.dev`
- URL: `https://api.ambolt.dev/v1/fx-rate-ecb`
- Auth: none required

European Central Bank euro foreign-exchange reference rates for any date since 1999, converted to any base currency. Reference rates published around 16:00 CET on working days; not tradable quotes.

## Query parameters

- `base` string: Base currency, ISO 4217.
- `symbols` string[]: Target currencies. Default: all.
- `date` string: YYYY-MM-DD. Default: latest. Weekends and holidays return the previous working day.
- `amount` number: Amount of base currency to convert.
- `free` '1'

## Response `200`

Result (JSON). Every result names its source and the time it was read.

- `400`: Invalid input; not charged.
- `402`: Payment required: 0.003 USD in USDC (x402 v2).
