# List contra brokers

`GET /v1beta1/acats/contrabrokers`

## Request

- URL: `https://broker-api.giftcity.sandbox.in.alpaca.markets/v1beta1/acats/contrabrokers`
- Auth: HTTP basic

This information is provided based on the latest ACATS Participant Master File, and contains the DTCC account numbers of valid contra brokers. Only participants that are either brokers or banks are returned. These numbers are the valid values for the `broker_number` property that is required for initiating transfers.

## Response `200`

OK

- AcatsListContraBrokersResponse: Response containing the list of valid ACATS contra brokers.
  - `brokers` AcatsContraBroker[]
    - `name` string, required: Participant name
    - `number` string, required: DTCC account number
    - `type` 'BANK' | 'BROKER', required: ACATS participant type

## Other responses

- `403`: Forbidden
- `500`: Internal Server Error
