# Create or updates already activated telephone number to an account

`POST /v2/partition/{partitionId}/account/{accountId}/telephonenumber/external`

Use to create a new telephone number or update an existing number to an account. Unit field in the CSR Address should be no greater than 10 characters, anything more than 10 characters is ignored.
