# Rate-limit & quota self-check

`GET /api/v1/usage`

## Request

Your key's current rate-limit and monthly-quota state, so you can pace yourself.

## Response `200`

Current usage.

- object
  - `rateLimit` object
    - `limit` integer
    - `remaining` integer
    - `resetSeconds` integer
    - `window` string
  - `quota` object: { unmetered: true } on unmetered keys, otherwise limit/used/remaining/resetsAt.
  - `usageThisMonth` object: Per-endpoint request counts for the current calendar month.
    - `month` string: YYYY-MM
    - `byEndpoint` object: endpoint → request count, e.g. { search: 120, ask: 30 }
  - `attribution` string
