# Controller Handle Introspect Connection Id

`POST /integrations/introspect/connection_id/{connection_id}`

Introspects a preexisting connection (specified by id), returning a list of all tables present in that connection. This is useful for reusing connection information, which otherwise would need to retrieve full connection information in the frontend (not a pattern we want to encourage).

- `connection_id` string, required

  - `name` string, required: Name of the table.
  - `schema` string, nullable: Schema of the table. Only provided for sources that have some concept of a 'wrapper' schema.
  - `columns` Column[], required: List of columns in the table.
    - `name` string, required: Name of the column.
