# Get a reference file

`GET /api/rest/v1/assets/{asset_code}/reference-files/{locale_code}`

This endpoint allows you to get the information about a reference file of a given PAM asset.

## Path parameters

- `asset_code` string, required
- `locale_code` string, required

  - `code` string: Code of the PAM asset reference file
  - `locale` string: Locale of the PAM asset reference file, equal to `null` if the asset is not localizable
  - `_link` object: Links to get and download the reference file
    - `download` object
      - `href` string: URI to download the reference file

- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Access forbidden
- `404`: Resource not found
- `406`: Not Acceptable
