# Leave the active team organization, which ends the caller's membership the way removing a member does

`DELETE /v1/organizations/{id}/membership`

## Response `204`

The caller left the organization

## Other responses

- `400`: The id is not a uuid
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: The organization is a personal one (`personal_organization`), or the request was not made from a signed-in session (`session_required`)
- `404`: The organization is not the active one
- `409`: The caller owns the organization and has to transfer ownership first (`owner_cannot_leave`)
