# Update a RID Sensor

`PUT /nis/rid-sensors/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8486`

- Auth: API key in header `x-auth-token`

Updates Scout sensor SSN and description.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- UpdateRidSensorDTO: Update a RID Sensor metadata (SSN and description).

## Response `200`

RID Sensor updated

- RidSensorDTO: RID Sensor metadata. Service-account secrets are never returned here.

- `422`: Validation failed
