# Get subtitles

`GET /v1/transcripts/{id}/subtitles`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.aircaps.com`
- URL: `https://api.aircaps.com/v1/transcripts/{id}/subtitles`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

SRT or WebVTT captions for a completed transcript, with the speaker in each cue.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `format` 'srt' | 'vtt'
- `chars_per_caption` integer

## Response `200`

Subtitles as text.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid query parameter (`param` names it). Codes: `invalid_request`.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key. Codes: `unauthorized`.
- `403`: The account may not do this. Codes: `account_suspended`, `account_disabled`.
- `404`: Not found. Codes: `not_found`.
- `409`: The transcript is not completed. Codes: `transcript_not_ready`.
- `500`: Server error. Safe to retry (use the same Idempotency-Key). Codes: `internal_error`.
- `503`: Temporarily unavailable. Retry after the Retry-After interval. Codes: `service_unavailable`.
