# /discussions/:discussionId/comments/:commentId

`DELETE /v1/discussions/{discussionId}/comments/{commentId}`

## Request

Delete a comment.

Only the author can delete. An author who no longer has
`asset.canManageDiscussions` can no longer delete. The response is 204
with no body.

Deleting the last comment deletes the discussion. A later read of that
discussion is 404. Polling the comment list cannot detect the delete.

Requires the `comments.write` OAuth scope.

## Response `204`

Comment deleted. No response body.

## Other responses

- `403`: You are not the author, or you cannot manage discussions
- `404`: Discussion or comment not found
