# Submit a comment on an open RFC round

`POST /api/rfc/{id}/comments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://aioq.org`
- URL: `https://aioq.org/api/rfc/{id}/comments`
- Auth: none declared

A comment becomes part of a public review record, so a real name and a working email address are required; the email is stored so AIO can reach the commenter about this round and is never published. Every comment is stored as `pending` and published only after review — nothing appears automatically. Rate-limited to 10 requests per 10 minutes per client. A comment on a round that is not accepting comments, or whose window has closed, is rejected with 410.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

  - `author` object, required
    - `name` string, required: Published with the comment.
    - `email` string, email, required: Stored so AIO can reach the commenter about this round. Never published.
