# Manage private registry

`POST /repositories/code/private-registries`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.aikido.dev/api/public/v1`

  - Client credentials
  - Token URL: `https://app.aikido.io/api/oauth/token` scopes: `repositories:write`

Add or update your private package registry connection, such as a private NPM or Maven package registry.

## Request body

- object
  - `type` 'maven' | 'npm_rc', required: The type of the private registry
  - `payload` string, required: The payload of the private registry or .npmrc content

## Response `200`

The private registry has been added.

  - `success` integer: The integer 1 indicating success
  - `token` string: The token of the private registry
