# Create app

`POST /firewall/apps`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.aikido.dev/api/public/v1`

  - Token URL: `https://app.aikido.io/api/oauth/token` scopes: `firewall:write`

Create a new Zen app

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: The name of the app.
  - `environment` 'production' | 'staging' | 'development', required: The environment type of this app.
  - `repo_id` integer: An optional id of the repo the app is linked to

## Response `200`

The app has been successfully created

- object
  - `app_id` integer: The ID of the newly created app in Aikido.
  - `token` string: The newly rotated token.

## Other responses

- `400`: One or more of the provided fields are invalid.
