# Update the signed-in human profile and avatar selection

## Request body

  - `displayName` string
  - `avatarPreference` 'custom' | 'statica' | 'gravatar'
  - `showAuthor` boolean: Default visibility of the signed-in person's name on new pages.
  - `federationEnabled` boolean: Explicit consent to expose the local account as an ActivityPub actor.

## Response `200`

Profile updated; returns displayName

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Authentication required or invalid credentials
